Fake local addresses, listings under keyword-stuffed names and reviews for sale carry similar risks. A paid directory with no editorial standards or visible audience seldom earns its fee. Link swaps with unrelated websites look like a scheme.
Treat badges and claims seriously. If your site states you belong to a program, hold a technician credential or are an authorized station, the status must be real and current. Never imply a manufacturer affiliation you do not have.
